NO ADDRESS: Columbia, SC
directed by Caletta Harris
What you thought you knew about homelessness, you truly don't.
Reel2Real Productions co-presents the pop-up screening of NO ADDRESS: Columbia, SC at Curiosity Coffee Bar (2327 Main St.) on September 15, 2021. Doors open at 7pm and the screening begins at 7:30pm followed by a panel discussion.
The NO ADDRESS Documentary Series depicts the criminalization of homelessness as well as how communities can implement proven practical solutions to address this growing epidemic. No Address: Part One focuses on the start of criminalizing homelessness back in 2013. It features the individuals that fought to rescind the 2013 unanimous Columbia City Council vote to criminalize their homeless population. The criminalization of homelessness means to go to a shelter, get out of town, or be at risk of going to jail if caught on the streets.
You will also get to know some humans from the un-sheltered community who survive day to day by banishment, abandonment, harassment, ridicule and institutionalism all while keeping their sanity to live another day.
We are dedicating ticket donations to go toward our No Address Foundation’s Land Development Fund to build sustainable and affordable communities for the un-sheltered.
