When shy Harlem schoolteacher Dorothy tries to save her dog from a winter storm, she's miraculously whisked away to an urban fantasy land called Oz. After accidentally killing the wicked witch Evemean upon her arrival, Dorothy is told about The Wiz, a wizard who can help her get back to New York City. As Dorothy goes in search of The Wiz, she's joined by new friends Scarecrow , the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, but they are pursued by Evillene, the evil sister of Evermean, the witch whom Dorothy inadvertently killed when she arrived in Oz.

This soulful rendition of The Wizard of Oz, hot off being a Broadway hit, features memorable, soul-stirring, sing-along music like “You Can't Win, You Can't Break Even,” “If You Believe In Yourself”, Everybody Rejoice/A Brand New Day”, “and “Ease on Down the Road”!
