Jamaican filmmaker Storm Saulter (Better Mus’ Come) returns to the Caribbean Film Series with his highly-anticipated new film Sprinter. Join Storm for a post-screening Q&A alongside CFS alum Paul Pryce, whose short film The Deliverer opens the night.

In this gripping drama from director and visual artist Storm Saulter, a Jamaican teen (newcomer Dale Elliot), burdened by an unstable father and an unruly older brother, hopes a meteoric rise in track-and-field can reunite him with his mother (Lorraine Toussaint, Any Day Now, Orange is the New Black) who has lived illegally in the United States for more than a decade. Sprinter swept the 2018 American Black Film Festival winning “Best Director”, “Best Narrative Feature” and the “Audience Award”.
